On 25 April 1993 one million gay men and women, bisexuals and transgenders

from across the United States participated in the March on Washington.

The March on Washington was the first national demonstration of GLBT-rights

since 1987 and was an angry protest for more respect. Several days before

the march festive celebrations and smaller demonstrations took place

all over the capitol.
