On 1 June 2003 the Belgian legislation opening up civil marriage
for couple of the same sex (of 13 February 2003) came into effect. As a result gay and
lesbian couples can legally marry in Belgium. 1708 same sex couples married in 2003 and 2207 couples married
in 2004. On 4 December 2004 Peter and Luc married at the Brussels city
hall in Brussels, Belgium. Website navigation
